WOW! Our first really nice day up here in the Northwest this season, 70 in the shade at my house before I started out for Seattle. It's not until traffic goes bumper to bumper that I noticed, but man this thing puts out some heat! Yea I know...it's lean. I'm not cheap, but I'm not running down to buy a multi $100 unit soI can cool down 50 or 60 degrees. If it were that critical, Harley wouldn't have sold it that way. It won't fail, so for personal comfort and the well being of the motor...I'll just keep airflow if possible.

 

Wait till your pipes are noticed glowing in the dark or the nice shade of purple they finally turn.Put some sort of fuel tuner on it,you will be much happier and making less dealer calls.

 

I'm thinking abot a set of these.

Uh, Dave you've been around awhile the heat deal shouldn't suprise you.
Wait until it's 90 degrees. You think it's hot now.
Do stage 1 with a tuner and be done with it.

 

Or consider the rjoriginals heat shields. Look great, and function even better!

 

Dave_E Try getting ahold ofRJSORIGINALS,I think they are still listed as advertisers in this forum. The shields are well made and sure helped. My bike was hot (07FLTR) then I put on Bassani Road Rages and I had thigh BURN. Got a set of the RJS originals and they helped tremendously.
Good product and good sevice. Also look a lot better on bike as the outer material is the same as your stock seat, they look like they came on the bike. Not real cheap but well made and WORK!

 

Sounds like a good excuse for buying a tuner and TD's.

Get the Kuryakan pictures in a chrome mirror finish. They look good and work awesome. Got them on my bagger

 

you will get use to it and wont ever notice it again
