Default Chrome Saddlebag Guard

Does anyone know where I can get a reasonable priced set of the dual chrome saddlebag guards for an 05 Electra Glide Std, like the ones on the Ultra?? In my opinion the ones that Harley sells are over priced. $300 dollars for a couple of pieces of chrome tubing. I don't think so!

Go to Chicago HD .com and get 20% off. I think they are $136 after the discount

If you take them off, but want to keep the bags on do you need to buy a different bracket to hold the bags up?

HDRIDER, you can use the RK Custom/Street Glide approach which is no saddlebag guard, just a support rail for the saddlebag; or, the RK Standard/EG Standard which is a saddlebag guardand support rail under the bag, but no side rails. You can also simply remove the side rails and plug the two holes in each guard rail with chrome hardware. When I put the FLHX fender treatment on my '04 EG I removed the EG saddlebag guard and side rails and sold them on ebay for more than the Street Glide saddlebag support rail cost (about $100 from HD).

Thanks Harleypingman,I took the saddlebagside railsoff and now only have the verticle guardbar that is in front of the bag. Sure cleans up the look IMO. Now I want to remove the guard bar which looks to me like I'll need a short extention to the support bar. Also gonna bolt the bags on just for some added protection incase I forget to check the pins on the bags.
