Smile Motorcycle Metal Ohlins

I ordered and installed my Ohlins from Howard.... All I can say is wow.. customer service and ride... Why oh why can;t the Moco install decent shocks on dressers??? The Ohlins fit me fine but I know there are other shocks 100% better then Stock from HD/// Again the ride is 100% better and Howard at motorcycle Metal was a pleasure to deal with

I am guessing howard isn't really pushing the jri's anymore, I have seen a lot of people buying ohlins from him again.

the moco hasn't learned these bikes need good shocks yet..

So on the fence about doing this. My ole 98 ultra rides so much better with homemade air ride than my new to me 2012 ultra. I want better. But a lot better. Luv the home brew air ride now with 18,000 miles on it no problems. But if the ohlins or going to be way way better......I might be in

Stick with what works. I've ridden ohlins bike and while it is a nice ride, their front springs and top Line canister shocks on rear, you still get some feed back. If what you have works then save the dough. Their is only so much that can be done with the rear suspension due to the shock placement. It will never be as smooth as a honda St or bmw. The shocks will plant you better in the turns and help eliminate the wallowing

This is not true at all , I just got back from North Carolina. This was my first trip with my Ohlins #6 shocks and Ohlins 30mm fork cartridges in the front end. My wife kept commenting on how smooth the ride was , we would hit a hole in the road and I could feel her tense up before impact , then she would go I never felt it . Unbelievably smooth and Sport Touring handling , it can be achieved.
