I have a similar attitude toward the stock seat (pushes me forward, crowds the boys) but my wife is totally happy. Is there a seat that will give me some room and keep her on the big pillow she's happy with?

Just picked up a 2010 Ultra in April. The seat kills my taint after an hour. I luckily kept my Air Hawk that I used on my Sporty. With the Air Hawk I can ride until I need the next tank of fuel.

MY experience with a stock touring seat is VERY limited.

They come off FAST, and replaced with something I can tour on.

This time it's a Corbin, feels hard when you first sit on it, but it has support across my whole ***, and is very comfy. I can ride it as long as I wish with ZERO issues.

The Alaska Leather mentioned above may help, but on the Corbin, it is even better.

It is still hard to believe the motor company gets away with such an inferior seat on such an expensive motorcycle
Then again for an additional charge will sell you a touring seat to go with their touring motorcycle

The stock seat on my 2012 seems fine. Put about 35000 in the last 2 years. My longest day was around 870 miles with no problem. To each his own.

Stock EGlide seat is extremely comfortable,no way I'd change to anything else,Wife loves it as much as I do,she's done 750 mile days riding shotgun.

If I ever tear the vinyl material I'll consider recovering my stock seat in leather just to do it,I ride past one of the best in the business's shop all the time http://www.alligatorbob.com

Common for me to take 1 week , 2 week trips. A 500.00 seat to me has no value. Some days I have a 50 mile azz other days I can go a tankful. My stock seat has been great

I know a lot of riders don't like the stock seat and have switched out to an aftermarket saddle. What I'd like to know is what it was that you didn't like about your stock seat. Was your experience similar to mine?
I thought the seat on my limited was good until I bought the heated Hammock seat. What a pleasure!!

The stock seat on our 2010 FLHTCU started bugging my hip at about 70 miles and then both cheeks were on fire by 80. It was fidgit city from there on. My GF says the passenger seat is perfect for her.

We tested a Sundowner but I have sat on cinder blocks that were softer. I had Mean City do their mod on it and it seems to have done the trick (my stock seat is the earlier seat on the 2010 and is apparently known for this). I haven't done the 300-400 mile day yet but the 80-90 mile trips are not issues.

Great folks at Mean City -- best $160 I have spent recently.
