Truck-Lite Good Night Lights - Not Daytime Lights
#12
I ride with a group once a week and they are friends and they pointed out that the headlight on high beam was annoying during the day.
I'm still not sold on the lights for daytime visibility.

This is the exact reason I didnt buy the truck lite for my bike this winter when I upgraded my headlight. I ride 99 percent of the time during the day and every picture I saw of the truck lite at angle it looked like it wasnt even on. I went with the cibie lamp and osman rally bulb from stern lighting. Not as bright as truck lite but a nice improvement over the stocker...and visible during the day at all angles

I have the Harley LED's and they're bright as heck in the daytime. I can always tell when meeting another group of riders coming in the opposite direction, who's got the LED's, they are a Bright White compared to everyone else's Yellowish looking lights.
Actually been Sweeper on a few group rides and the lead bike tells me it's nice having me back there, cause my lights are so bright.
Not sure if there's a difference between Harley's Led's and the TL's but something is goofy.

I had the TL Phase 7 on my '12 SG. Loved it at night and also lights up the road signs during bright daylight. But the lack of visibility during daytime always had me concerned. I ALWAYS had them on high beam during daylight hours along with Custom Dynamics dog eyes in the front turn signals for a little extra visibility. Those Moto Lites I'm sure are far more noticeable and nice....just a bit pricey!
I just ordered the new HD Daymaker Reflector to replace this crappy dual halogen on my '14 SGS. Saw it installed on a SG at the dealer last week and had them turn it on. That is one bright a@@ headlight inside a well lit building!! Blindingly bright actually. I moved to all angles from side to side and still very visible!
Apparently the HD reflector has I think 6 led's with a better reflector making it very visible. I believe the TL has only two led's but not certain, but definitely not as many as the new reflector. And another nice feature of the new Reflector headlight is that you don't need the Frenched trim ring as it fits flush like stock. I was going to stick with the stock dual halogen on this bike until I saw the new HD Reflector. Kutter had a good price on it too.

Did You have to order the wiring harness to put the HD reflector led on a 14 SGS?

Stock passing lamp aim does not get it.
I have my left one almost up to the low beam line, and the right one out a little and up near that line. All three on bright with the passing lamp mod, and they are set for daytime. I am well pleased with the TLP7. It is a different tech, the lights must be adjusted to maximize the effect.
