I removed front and rear bumpers on my '04 FLHTPI. On the front I added the "Electra Glide" script from 1965:

On the rear I eventually added the FLHX rear facia and tri-bar light.

just did mine the same way...i like the bumper, just not the rubber part.....

I took out the black part of the bumper....but left the chrome housing on there. Removed it completely from the back. Also took off all of the bumper lights as well.
