Ouch!

I'm glad he fessed up to it and paid for the repair. Any other damage?
no - - got lucky on that - - the dealership did a full inspection, and determined that the whole fender needed to be replaced...this happened back in April, and I got her fixed in time for Rolling Thunder (end of May)...had to be ordered from the factory - -as you can almost see in my pic with the girl on my bike, it was fresh out of the shop and I added the chrome fender trim vs. the stock brushed aluminum - -and I added the Electra Glide emblems - - (HD still carries them in the parts department "65 stock"! -

I'm going to remove both the front and rear bumpers as I think they're too bulky, but that's just my opinion. Dennis Kirk offers a bracket that will work for the rear made by Carlini.

ORIGINAL: Markcuda

I just don't like that rubber look on it
They have a nice looking insert that goes in place of that rubber.
I had the chrome insert on the front and rear of my last Ultra(prior to it being stolen[:@]) it really looked good!!

Like someone else said. Take the rubber out and then you are left with a really cool looking double rail chrome bumper!

Sh*t canned mine and the bags rails too. Should just bought a EG standard, but wanted the rear speakers and a few other things that came on the Ultra, and you all know the the old saying that you probably told the wife at the time of purchae...I am going to just ride this one, not change anything...I did say that and look what happened!

I took off all the trimm'ns on my bike and welded the holes shut before I repainted it. J&P sells a rear bumper eliinator PN #601-905 for $99.99(1800-397-4844). You can also buy new bumpers of various types if you choose. I'd personally ride the bike a bit and never make changes until I'm sure it's something I want to change. And no you don't have to take the front tire off to bend the lock tabs back to remove the nuts, just use a long screw driver, but if you have a jack it is easier to drop the tire.

Actually I liked the look of the chrome and couldn't stand the yellow reflectors on the rubber bumper so I removed the front bumper and pulled of the rubber bumper insert and re-installed the chrome bumper support... Looks C@@L...
