Default high idle RPM

stock and stage 1 idle stayed right around 1000

since having my cams installed my bike has had a higher idle, usually 1000-1200 RPM, this morning it never idled unde 1300-1400 and as high as almost 1600 everytime i stopped on my way to work this morning. not sure whats going on.

my friend had the same shop install the same cams in his 96'' and then used the same dyno guy and his idles @900-1000 RPM, our 2 bikes have a completely differnet idle lope sound. thats what first drew my attention

is this something the dyno guy has done or can fix? or can i adjust it w/ my power vision?

Lean Air Fuel Ratio will run higher RPM under no load condition. Did youchange your Fuel map for the new cam?

OK I see you are asking about the Power Vision, I have experience only with USB3 and PCV but believe your power vision has the ability to be remapped for the leaner AFR with the new cam getting more air thru the system. If it were me and I was working on the maop I would add some fuel to the 0-2% and 750-1500 RPM zone to richen it up and slow it down.

Idle speed is set by the ECM.

If you have a power vision there is a setting somewhere in there that allows you to adjust it.
If you find the setting is at 1000 RPM, you may have a bad Head temp sensor - so the ECM thinks the bike never warms up and runs a high idle.
You can verify the sensor readings in your power vision as well.

As mentioned before, probably best to take it back to your tuner if none of this simple stuff is the problem.

Agreed tuner can set idle but if idle speed and AFR were not adjusted properly, this is an indication of lean AFR DYno tech did not get this 1 right

"Bother them"? You paid them to do the work and something isn't right, I would take it back to them and have them re-ajust the tune.
