All,

I picked up a used inner fairing on here from a member and I am considering painting I myself. It is currently red and I need Big Blue Pearl.
I searched and see where color rite sell big blue base, pearl and clear in aerosol cans. Some research suggests it is a good match but I am no certain. I have also found PPG formula 930849 is a tri coat match.
I have a local PPG retailer that can mix it and put it in an aerosol can or maybe I will have my painter do it at work after hours.
I have painted several cars over the years with great results.

I guess the biggest question is how well it matches. Anyone know?

 

Since it is a tri stage I think it would not look right coming out of aresols. I would have it done by a pro. Not saying you aren't capable but i've seen those spray can jobs.

 

I talked to my paint guy this morning and gave him the PPG codes. He is going to do it after hours for a very reasonable price. I trust his work. He matched my custom paint on my son's truck perfectly.

 

make sure he uses a good primer to hide the red!
