Headpipe Stainless vs Ceramic Coated Mild Steel
Been looking at head pipes. Like the Fuel Moto Jackpot Ceramic Coated Mild Steel. Good price from a company with an excellent reputation.
I have seen some photos of mild steel ceramic coated headers that showed a rather short life cycle. But I also see excellent reviews on Fullsac. Another popular choice that are also ceramic coated mild steel.
Looking for some opinions/experiences with folks running these pipes. How long of a lifespan can I expect? How long will they continue to look in half decent shape. Or am I catastrophizing needlessly? I trade every few years but I also don't want to have the next owner dealing with some rust bucket pipes either.
Thanks in advance!

The coating on the fuel moto head pipe will scratch if your not careful with it. Then you are down to bare metal. Not a big deal as most times that happens when fitting the shields. I have been running them for a several seasons with no ill effects. The coating on the rush pipes is more durable but you couldn't give me another set of those.

I think you're overthinking it. Even just mild steel pipes will outlast your bike. Only rusted steel ones I've ever seen had been heat wrapped. Even they weren't that bad once they were cleaned up again.
Plus all of these head pipes are covered with heat shields so they always look good.
I've had both pipes and prefer the Fullsac. If you just want a head pipe get the Danmoto one that is not coated it's less expensive and works just as well as any of the more expensive ones.

Heat shields that don't fit correctly. The front pipe heat shield is confined by a cutout for the pipe mount. The cutout will not let that heat shield slide rearward enough to keep the tip from vibrating on the cross over pipe. The right side muffler would not seal without copper permatex. Shitty customer service (at least in my case). I called and emailed several times and was given the run around.
