Detachable Tour pak Lock...useless???

I have never owned a tour-pack on my bikes, but if I end up spending the $$ for one I will be installing it permanently and not with the detachable setup. Too easy to rip off the detachable stuff....

Thank you very much. You are correct. I was thinking that pin would slide out the back of the rack but it is stationary. I knew I had to be missing something.

Cool. Bottom line, if someone wants it bad enough they are gonna take it.

Another little tip, put some lithium grease or something like it on the back two docking points. Makes it WAY easier to get the latches off.

I will run a cable type lock through the T/P mount and any bags ( like T bag) when touring.

Had to overnight our SaddlebagSecure and Tourpack Bullet Secure last year to CO where a biker had theirs stolen while inside using the facilities and getting a bottle of water.
