German Auto Parts: H4 Halogen 80/100
For a more dependable and "brighter' bulb for your FL series, I've been using for the last 5 years the H4 Halogen 80/100 watt Osram/Sylvania off-road bulb from German Auto Parts. Cost is $12.45 plus shipping. This bulb lets you be seen day and night. Since I ride to work early morning hours the bright switch really brightens up the road. Lets me see the critters that are laying low in the fields and ditches. Only modification to the bulb for installation is cut off one of the extra tabs so it fits your bulb housing. Plus these bulbs seem to last longer than the OEM 60/80 watt bulb the stealer sells at over $20. Go figure? These are for off-road auto use, but I've never been ticketed by the man for using one. And my fellow bagger riding partners have never had problems blowing fuses.

Check on line for Truck lites..... I found mine for $180 shipped to my door. Have not tried it at night (I dislike night rides due to the animals on the road, both 4 legged and 4 wheeled!) so I can't offer advice. But several buddies I ride with tell me this thing is bright in day light!!!
