I`ve never heard anyone say this...
I`m calling the OP`s post a troll.

I agree, why would you even want to. Besides the performance issue, it would look stupid as front tires are much narrower than the rear tire.

Although I don't know why you are asking, unless you need a rear tire, have a good spare front tire, and not enough resources to buy a new rear tire, but yes it "could" be done. You would have to find a wheel that would have a rim width to accommodate the width of the front tire. Then the hub would have to be wide enough to properly fit between the swingarm and accept the correct axle width while ensuring centering of the rotor in the caliper. I could see where the homebrewer might fabricate just the right spacers to make it work.
If my only choice was to run a front motorcycle tire on the rear or run a car tire on the rear, I would run the motorcycle tire every time...given it's rating and rotational orientation were adequate and correct for bike.

Now why would you go do that? Bring into question car tire that is. If those were my choices, I'd go car. Now see what you did!!! Let's leave it at, could you run a front tire on the rear. Answer, yes. Why is a whole other matter. If it's funds and since we now bring illegals in without question, then let's just let the government pony up the bucks. Geez, why not?
