Default My Iron Butt Warm-Up at the Dragon

Hi folks - just posted a little write up about a Tail of the Dragon ride I took last week in preparation for an Iron Butt endeavor. It was a great trip of 560 miles in about 12 hours with lots of great scenery and riding.

Looks like you had a good and safe time. I love that area. Might try and do that myself but coming from Charleston...

I have a place in Western NC and am looking forward to taking the new ride on the same trip from Central Fl. Last time I was on a bike in the mountains was the late 70's on my Yamaha RD 350.
Can't wait to get back up their and enjoy it as much as you did. It will be 600 miles and I will try to do that in one day.

Next time you are up that way, go past the Ky/TN line on I-75 to 11 mile marker. Head West on US-49 I think. The road is so crooked that I drove my sport truck through there and I got sick from looking out the side windows to go arroung a curve! Safe riding.

I hope you have a shield for your ride. Be safe and good luck.

Looks like a great ride! Now that I have my 2007 RKC back with mods, my wife and I are ready to roll hard and long!
