Default Surdyke shipping times

I ordered some stuff from Surdyke for the first time on Sunday, June 30. I got an email this morning (July 1) that says my items will ship July 10th. Having never used them before, is it common for there to be such a long time between ordering and shipping? I got footboard inserts, brake pedal pad, footpegs and shifter pegs if it makes any difference.

I've never dealt with Surdyke, but I expect it all depends upon what is in stock as opposed to what they have to order. Usually dealers will quote 5-7 days for them to receive items if they have to be ordered and then add on shipping time to the customer. Bear in mind that in this instance, Independence Day and the weekend may add a little more time and I would say it's about normal if the items weren't in stock.
I think Newcastle HD is the only online dealer that allows you to see their stock levels before ordering.

Usually takes 10-14 days for delivery. I have ordered from them several times but I never order anything from them if I'm in any hurry for a part.

I've ordered from them a few times, would say that timing seems pretty normal. Appears they are waiting for the order to come in from HD before shipping to you.

Just last month I ordered saddle bag guards & Highway Pegs/mounts... the Pegs/Mounts shipped with in 5 days, the saddle bag guards were back ordered, they shipped partial order, and then shipped the rest 7 or 10 days later when they were back in stock... Thier communication is great, e-mail notification when shipped, or if there is a delay... also chan check their website for order status... i plan on using them again frequently. agree with zvrider, don't order anything your in a hurry for...

I believe they are no longer "allowed" to "stock" parts for internet sales. Once an internet order is placed, they have to order parts from the mothership, wait for them to arrive, and then ship.

I could be wrong, but that's the way I heard it since MOCO cracked down on the dealers that were selling online.

Same here, they have good prices but have to get the parts from HD then ship to you.
