If you use oven cleaner spray it on a rag and "paint" the chrome with it to avoid overspay on painted parts.

I have had good luck with 0000 fine steel wool and WD40 but never tried it on cat **** but it works on boot marks, melted shopping bags, etc.. It will not scratch the chrome anymore than a handfull of human hair would. In fact if you can find someone to donate a handfull try that

Have you tried Vinegar?
I would not scour the chrome with ANYTHING!
Allow the vinegar plenty of time to soak in, should do the trick.

I can't believe that a good spray down with Super Clean wouldn't solve your problems. If that doesn't work there's a product call Urine Out or Urine Destroyer, something like that, which might also help. Good luck! .22 rounds are cheap...here kitty, kitty, kitty...

I second Turtle Waxes Chrome cleaner. It has worked on the nastiest stains on my pipes and I would try it on cat **** as well. If the acidity has etched the chrome it may be permanent though.

Might try no. 7 chrome polish. I've used it to take a number of stains from pipes.

Start with a .22. That takes care of the cat. Not sure what to try on the stain though.
