go to a bike night and see what you like-

some of the guys here are on their 3rd or 4th set of exhaust- that gets spendy.

sound is so subjective.

and a too loud bike is no fun 3 hours into an 8 hour ride...I've seen guys about ready to claw their own ears out...and they really, really look forward to the next day

the most often used phrase on this forum is : "low rumble, not too loud, but really barks when you get on it"

SE Street Cannons are deep but not too loud. EPA noise compliant, but a nice bark when you roll on it. There is a used set in the classifieds here. I'm running RCX mufflers with 2.5" baffles. Louder than the SE and deeper too, but not obnoxious.

Check out fullsac replacement baffles. You basically reuse your stock muffler and replace the stock baffles. Just did mine a few weeks ago. The bike is a bit louder than stock, but gains a nice low Rumble that is neighbor friendly, but sounds great.

Most are going to recommend what "they" have or like.
The fact is, that same setup might be too loud or too quiet for you.

Until you hear something with your own ears, you really won't know what the best sound for you is.

I have an 09 with stock mufflers off a 2013 flh. They are more free flowing than the 09's because of the cat in the newer bikes. Perfect for me and real cheap too.
