No offense to anyone with one.

Think about it.
I agree completely. I call mine my Fat Boy on Steroids!

I love my 2012 RK, especially since I added a Woody's Fairing to it this summer. But, I do believe my wife's 2014 SGS handles a bit better than my RK. It will be a tough choice in a few years when it is time to trade.

Personally, I am not a fan of the fairings and like the options the Road King offers. Admittingly, My answer is biased.

It's named the King for a reason IMHO

When and if I trade in my 2008 FLHR for a newer touring machine, I'm still leaning towards another Road King. But this time I'll add a touring pack. Still in no hurry to upgrade. Both the RK and SG are great bikes.

Ride both a few times and make your decision....Get what makes you happy, I just prefer the SG over most but again thats just me...RK's are great as well....

I road the last three years with stock RK windshield and really do not have any complaints about it unless it is ***** cold out because it offers no wind protection. I also was getting tired of wearing earbuds all of the time to listen to music/GPS. I am happy I bought the fairing and looking forward to putting on as many miles as I can this summer. I can always pull it off to put on the stock windshield or go without.

I'm 5'8' at about 150 lds......went from a Fatboy to a Street Glide and I truly wish I would have done it a couple years ago. Just rode 1500+ mile (Dragon's Tail) and it handled like a small bike.........could not be happier!
