Only one way to answer that question: Ride both and see which one floats your boat!

No offense to anyone with one.

Think about it.
Yeah and the SG looks like everyone else's bike...

No offense either....

I've had two Roadkings and switched to the Road Glide Ultra last year. If you think you will ride it without the windshield then the only way to go would be the RK. My windshield never came off and I was wanting to add a Tour pack and fairing. I rode the RG ultra and it was the best decision for me.

Well... not riding my Road king right now cuz my road is a muddy mess.

I was planning to ride some of the fairing bikes before I made up my mind, but love the look without... soft ail plus or whatever. My windshield blocks a lot of what I want it to. When I stick my feet way out on the hi way pegs I get a lot of wind from them. Not sure how that differs with fairings. Had to pull them back in on a couple of cold rides.

With bigger motor, cruise, much better ride and balance and loving the big hard bags.. I have not looked back. Love my road king. It was 10 months old with warranty and a great price. That said, i have a handheld gps and don't listen to music riding. So I guess I am just a useless opinion????

Test road both - bought the Road King (Classic). Didn't care for the fairing and I ride a lot without the windshield.

After much contemplation and research I ended up with an RKC and am very happy with it. Maybe because of the classic styling. However I did consider the EG with detachable tour pak. I've seen some with solo seats and they clean up pretty nice.

RK... because you can't do this with a Street Glide:

(Well, I guess you could.... but why go through all that trouble, lol)

I have owned both styles. I loved my Road King, but I love my FLHTCSE2 even more! I wouldn't go back knowing what I know now.

Very! very! good and informative input. there are no bad inputs. Yes! due to my short stature, I have very limited for options.

I was at my local dealer today and looked at SG and RK specs on their tags. The RK seat height is 1/2" higher and about 5 lbs heavier than SG.

Both of their handlebar and seat has to go. Im going to get a handlebar that has more pullback and lowered the seat. If I can square these away, I will be trading my dyna in for a touring model
