The ride is pretty good on the Rushmores and I certainly don't want to make it harsh. I have read several threads on here about guys who went with SE oil and it rode like crap. I do ride a little on the aggressive side so a little firmer wouldn't be bad but I don't want to be breaking teeth on it. I might think about trying a mix or the 10wt Bel Ray. That wouldn't be a big difference from what I have now. Thanks for the help.

I changed to SE fork oil and I can tell you that the difference is slight but is an improvement and less front end dive during heavy braking.

I am running the SE oil in my bike, but only because I lowered the forks. On a stock height bike, I would not use SE fork oil. I would run half stock, half SE or stock fork oil......... unless a firmer ride was the desired effect.

There are different versions of Amsoil shock therapy as there are SE oil. I went with SE Heavy (I believe equivalent to 10 weight) and it is fabulous.

I work with a guy who is an Amsoil rep. I will talk to him and see if he has some. You guys all seem to be pretty happy with it. I just don't want the change to be drastic. I don't think its very easy to change it if I don't like it.

There was a great thread on here on changing your shock oil that really makes it simple. I'm 180 lbs. and used the SE oil. At first i thought it to be to firm but as I ride it, I like the dive control as well as the cornering. I was told by the dealer that SE came in 15 or 30w. I used the 15. Next change i will use the Bel-Ray 10 or 12 but unless you go to a 20 or 30 you won't get a drastic change. Like I say to change is simple. The whole job can be done in 1 hour.
Good Luck.

i have changed the oil in my SG and Rg to the heavy oil, i didnt see a huge ride differnce but i mainly used it to get rid of thefront end dive under hard braking

It really depends on the bike. The SE was fine in my Limited but way too heavy for my Road King. The fairing adds a lot of weight on the front end. If the front end is diving a lot you made need to practice your braking skills.
