Default Tipping over the Road King - TWICE

So I'm committed to finally learning how to ride slow. What do you think about this idea?

I think there is nothing wrong with that idea. Its added protection for sure. Kudos for you for not caring what others think and going out there to practice. One tip though, which you might know already. When lifting your bike, put in gear, that way it doesn't roll away from you when lifting.

Damn! I felt the bikes pain everytime you dropped it down. Maybe some shiny HVAC tape instead of the green, at least it would not stand out as much. Good luck!

Firehose works great too, much tougher than carpet.

Aren't you a truck guy?

i have saw similar set ups before for practicing. not bad idea. one thing i have always noticed when ppl practice or at demonstrations are that they drop it to the right side so you can let the stand catch it once its up. never have i saw them do it where they have to get the stand open once up and then sit it down. might be wise to practice that as well.

If I were you, I'd head over to Colorado and take a Ride Like A Pro class.

Great tip, thanks. The bike has been on it's side three total times now since new. You saw two of them.

Yeah, I did a bunch of videos on mods to my Ford. I love all the HD diesels on the market today.

Funny you mention it. It was his teaser videos that make me want to get better. He's all about "Friction zone, brake and look where you're going".

I'm going to spend some time doing it and get it on video. I'll post up the results, good or bad, when done.
