Default What's the smartest way to go?

I'm looking to do a few upgrades to my 13 sg. Currently running a set of Cfr's with a decatted header and a set of vieds. I was wanting to change my stock ac and was thinking of maybe doing a ventilator or extreme ventilator. I was concidering a heavy breather but I may want to add lower fairings in the future for stereo purposes. The main question I have is other than the air cleaner I was wanting to add either a set of headers or a power vision? I don't have the coin for both. I'm kinda thinking I should go with the power vision before the headers for tuning purposes but wasn't sure if the vieds would get me by? I was debating between the v&h power duals, dresser duals, or the s&s power tuned true duals. I would kinda rather get the ac and the header but I'm thinking the tuner may be needed if I'm going to change the header so I should do the tuner first? Thanks

Well IMHO your current exhaust setup is good. The money you'd spend on a header and any of the systems you've listed won't give you much for the investment. Open up the intake and get a tuner.

I think you're on the right path in getting a Power Vision Package first.

The ViED's will certainly help, and be sufficient for your exhaust and new A/C, but it sounds like you want to get the most you can power-wise out of the bike, thus my thought on the PV first.

I do plan to do motor work in the future so the tuner will be a must at some point. Maybe now is the right time. With that said will a header make having a tuner a must?

No, not a must at all. The ViED's will work just as well with an aftermarket header as with the stock headers.

I'm not convinced a header is any better than your gutted setup unless you'd go big inches and cam. Spend your money elsewhere.

With a Power Vision you will get a tune with it that is customized to your bikes set-up. It also comes with auto-tune basic so that you do not need to spend time or money putting it on the dyno.

Read more details on all that you get with it HERE.
