I want to switch to hard bags on my RKC and have been watching ebay. not much for a while. So that I can expand my search - which bags would fit without being modified? would any newer bags fit? what about other bikes?

 

As for HD hardbags FLH 1996 and newer will fit requiring at most some adjustment to the pin latches on the bike. If you are not using a tour pack you can also use the same years HD FLH police hardbags. Corbin make bags as well and Ness but none of them are cheap.

I see bags all the time on ebay. You may have to piece some together and add paint and buy the hardware, but it is done all the time. I don't care for the corbin bags or the price. I actually like the look of the police bags with the puck on top (wifey says I am crazy). Would be nice to open my bags without having to get off my bike.

The only reason I haven't switched my bags off my rk custom is beause I have read here several times that they seem to rub on my bike model, even with adjustment, still seems to be issues with others. That would bother me. So, I just adding locks to my bags and will run with that for a while
