RE: Helmet - Help - Please
It definitely is cheaper to keep her, unless she's high-maintenance or the in-law drives you to near-suicide! Then you just bite the bullet! Joe, I got your PM, send me the particulars and I'll see what I can do. BTW, late condolences for the loss of your friend. I've got a good friend in your town confined to a wheelchair, he used to live here and was very successful. Now, no more Harley, downtowntownhouse, BMW, wife and son.He picked the wrong passenger on the wrong day!

RE: Helmet - Help - Please
I am not one that normally writes a review but here is story. I had purchased a Harley modular helmet(also know as HJC symax) about 2.5 years ago and it fell from the garage table to the floor and developed spider web cracking on the side where it landed.
I started to look at new helmets and the confusion abounds by the type of head you have to the style of helmet that you want. I have never had a full face helmet before but found the SNELL approved LAH on a Harley discussion forum. I was skeptical when I received the LAH helmet; the LAH helmet was not heavy at all! Well the first sunny day I was out on the bike with the new LAH helmet. Wow what a difference from my old HJC. The LAH helmet was light; the back ventilation system really works. I was able to ride and feel a decent intake of air coming from the back of the LAH helmet which is part of the new vent design.
I was able to turn my head fully from left to right to check blind spots which was something that I could hardly do before with my HJC helmet due to the modular design. The new LAH helmet never fogged up during my morning rides which the HJC did all the time. If there are any drawbacks; I have only two. It is hard to get glasses off/on but that is a complaint with all full face helmets. The second is there is some wind noise at around 60-70 mph that was louder then I remember with the HJC. I do have piece of mind with the LAH helmet knowing that it is DOT and SNELL approved. I am not sure how LAH keeps this great helmet a secret.

I ride with a Nolan N-com...modular and i like the helmet it is very aerodynamic when in the up position...315.00 dollars! the shoei is at least another benjamin.....there are some cheap parts on the nolan as i have found out...top vent grips come off and get lost easy, the dealer says they dont refund helmets so they ordered me some extra pieces!!!! i also have a yuppie h/d #1 half helmet that i had to buy because i left my other helmet at home when i picked up the 06 sporty....when the top is flipped up i look like a martian or something.....

RE: Helmet - Help - Please
Joe, thanks for your review. All someone needs to do is try my product. It is a truly different design, not just a respoilered version of a previous. Most areas of the bike biz have had major innovations, helmets in general, lag behind. As mentioned about that extra wind at 60-70MPH, we have an accessory wind deflector that reduces a lot of the "Backdraft" ventilation. Racers never take them out. Enjoy your new helmet.

Sorry boys and girls, but if you have a only have a $49 head, buy a $49 head, at least outofcontrolj has a $125 head..
It's hard ( I know, don't ask me what I wear ) to spend several hundered $$$ on a helmet when there is so much chrome we haven't bought yet but think hard about your purchase.
