C&C Solo Seat Questions

C&C Solo Seat Questions
For all the guys out there with C&C seats.
I'm 6'1" with a 33" inseam and a 38" waist, 235 lbs.
Ride a 2014 StreetGlide Special
I have put the 1" forward floorboards with 1" out extensions, extended brake and extended shifters.
I still feel like I'm sitting on the tank and need to go back a few inches.
Looks like the stock streetglide seat is 17" from the tip to back and 15" wide.
Questions:
Do I need to modify a C&C solo seat or should the stock one they make be good enough?
Should I go with a wide solo at 15" or the standard at 13.5"?
Whats everyone doing out there????

I'm 6'5" and have a C&C Solo. I didn't have it modified and not sure if I would, if I did it again. I did have Mean City Cycles modify my stock SG seat and that seems to work for me. They lowered it and took it back a pinch but not completely sure if I can tell a difference in that aspect. I'm a fan of C&C, had them on both bikes. If given the chance I'd trade the Solo for their Sport Tour though.

Im using the C & C fastback on my RG. I think the rider seating position is the same with most of the C & C seats regardless if they are the sport tour, fastback or solo. Appox 1.5 down and back over the stock seats.
im 6'3" with a 34 inseam and this seat is great for me I also use the Kury floorboard relocators that moved the boards 1"out and forward

I was in almost the same situation as you (6'0") and felt like I was sitting on the back lip of the seat. I had C & C move it back but they could only do that by flattening the seat out. This made me slide back every time I would pull away and did not look very good. They also said they only use the 13.5" pan. I finally after 3 tries I went with a Corbin gunfighter seat.

Have C&C wide solo
I am about 6'2" to 6'3" with a 34" inseam. I had it modified to push me back another 1.5 inches. I have the tallboy floorboard relocators, and 16 inch apes. Seat is VERY comfortable, and with the driver backrest, it makes me feel "in" the bike without scrunching me up to far. Without the backrest you can get a good stretch.

It does sit you back more than the stock seat. Maybe an 1" which doesn't seem like much, but with extended footboards and pedal extensions, it helps. As some have mentioned, if they modify it to sit you back farther, you will slide back on it. and in regards to a trade......to many women have said "take me for a ride" only for me to say "sorry, your *** isn't sitting on my fender". I may look into the C&C pillion though.

I just installed a C and C on my 06 EGS. Great seat. Talk to Dave or Chuck. They said the seat would move me down and back 1 inch. Seems more like 2 inches back. And 10% off for forum members. Tried to load photo. Couldn't figure it out. I' ll try another way.
