I traded my 2000 Heritage for a 2009 street glide and can say its a world of difference between the two. I did a 200 mile trip the first week and didn't feel one bit of discomfort. I did have the harley sundowner seat on it though. the heritage is a nice bike with the nostalgic look and all but the body couldn't handle it anymore......... I love this thing..

I traded my FXD for a FLHX in 2010 because I needed a "touring bike". I got sick of strapping crap to every square inch of the dyna to go on a fairly long trip. The ride obviously is no comparison. I got my 2010 ripped off and went right in and got a 2013 flhx. If your really struggling rent a streetglide for $150 a day and put 400-500 miles on. Then try it on your dyna. Your ***,back and legs will tell you what you need to do

About a month ago, I traded in my 08 Fat Bob for a 2014 Street Glide. No regrets at all. The Fat Bob was fun to ride, but not quite comfortable on rides over 100 miles. On the Street Glide it is soo nice to have locking saddle bags, floorboards, and having a radio helps too! I guess only con would be it is much heavier than the dyna so moving around by hand is a little tougher, other than that nothing.

Thanks so much fellas. That's why I asked for dyna riders that went to the Streetglide on their opinions.I'm 51 years old and started on a 1200 sporty, really out grew that in a very short period of time, then jumped to my 2011 Superglide and now am ready to jump again.Comfort is now my main choice,I love my dyna but would like to not hurt after a long day on the road.

I traded in my 2009 FXD Super Glide (made into a bagger) for a 2014 Street Glide Special. I have no regrets on the move up. There is a little more weight to deal with, but the Street Glide handles a whole lot better the the Super Glide did. I am 66 and having no problems with it at all.

I'm kind of in the opposite situation - I have a '13 SG and I love it! I'm 53 and with a Mustang solo and adjustable backrest I can do an 800 mile weekend and feel fine on Monday.
But...
I'm also in the market for a nice used Dyna or Softail stripped down for a bar bike (juice bar, so no 'don't drink and ride' stuff, please) but there's no way I'd ever get rid of the Street Glide. It's great on the highway and still nimble enough around town. I'm coming to the conclusion that I need more money...
