I am impressed, I rebuilt my 09 ultra trans at home but bought the specialty tools from George's garage. Could not imagine doing it without the tools, I had to replace the main drive shaft and the 2 bearings inside the main drive gear they went out. I did buy the Jim's rebuild kit and replaced all bearings while I was in there.

Nice job. It is a little scary when you start out on that job.

IMO the hardest part is removing the primary and exhaust. Better than paying the dealer to do it. Props for those that did it themselves.

Agree, rebuilding the trans was simple. Taking all the other **** apart to get to it is the hardest/most time consuming part.

Hats off to you Cowboy! I also like to do things myself, but the tranny? Time will tell.
