Default Leathers in hot weather...

Do you ride with a leather jacket on when it's above 80* ? Or only when it's cold?
Chaps on when riding in hot weather? Just curious as to what people do to reference the leathers while hot outside. As well do most where helmets? I live in a state where helmets are not required but still where one myself.

No leathers any more for me.

Waterproof Kevlar jeans
waterproof Kevlar hoodie
water resistant (almost water proof) breathable tactical boot.

don't want to stop riding when it rains.

Lots of new materials available. Also have a Harley mesh jacket with removable rain liner that I use once in a while.

pretty much the same for me....i don't wear leather much. in the winter, i use leather over pants but use a textile jacket with liners and a electric liner. summer i use a set of textile over pants to go to work along with my textile jacket (Olympia). the rain/wind liners almost make carrying along another set of rain gear a mute point. i have items from Fox Creek that include a jacket, pants, gauntlets and belts. when i want good quality leather, i go there.

I do, most of the time.

Sometimes just jeans, but if I'm riding to work with a suit, I'll throw my chaps on mostly to keep my pant legs from riding up to my knees (not a good look).

I almost alway wear my leather jacket. It gets hot if I have to stop for long, but anytime I'm moving it's fine.

I'm looking into some of the new high tech waterproof breathable protective pants or over pants. Seems like a good idea and my chaps are in need of some repair if not replaced.

I rarely ride below 60º, I often ride over 90º and sometimes over 105º

I wear chaps to protect me from the motor heat if I am doing any distance

My fave jacket is a HD 3n1 with armour. mesh jacket with solid panels that zip on.
in the desert sun, you have to cover up to keep moisture from being wicked out.

light coloured, black isn;t so great in the sun

I switched to armored textile. In summer I wear white/silver Rev'it mesh textile (kevlar) jacket over sleeveless tees. It's definitley cooler than just a tee, stopped or rolling. With jackets like this, if I crash I get to keep my skin. For me, makes riding much more fun. I have textile/kevlar mesh riding pants, but don't use them much as I typically wear kevlar-lined Dragg'n *** jeans.

In cooler months I switch between a beefy Rev'it armored jacket and a sweet looking vented leather "racing" jacket made (in USA) by forum sponsor Fox Creek.

I dress for the weather, not for the crash. I always wear a D.O.T. helmet, but I never wear chaps and a leather jacket when its over 80 degrees. I will wear a denim jacket on very long rides to protect from sunburn, OR if the temp will drop before I will need gas.

Shorts and flip flops are a NEVER!

I ride 12 months a year. I wear full leathers when it's cold. In the summer, it's shorts, sleeveless t-shirt and leather vest. Unless it gets too much above 90, then the vest goes in the bag. When I'm in a state that doesn't require helmet, that thing is in the bag also.
