does anyone know for certainty if the tour pak mounting hardware and thus the attachment on the bottom of the pak itself has the same dimensions across the touring models? i'm asking because i recently totaled my 2011 ultra classic after i'd mod'd it to remove the pak and it was off at the time of the accident so i still possess it. i just bought a 2014 street glide special and i'd like to mod it to accept a removable tour pak for when i travel out of town. if the dimensions are the same i can install the mounting hardware, get my current pak painted and use it. please let me know. thanks, in advance.

 

If I understand correctly, the four point doc is the same dimensions from 2010 through 2014. The only difference is the hardware that mounts to the bike for 2014.

 

The 2014 tour paks 4 bolts are different where they mount to the tour pak bracket. Your 2011 tour pak and quick detach mount will go right on the 2014 4 point docking system. I mounted a 2014 tour pak onto a 2012 detachable mount. Had to drill new holes to get it to fit.
If you have the whole 2011 tour pak and mount bracket together, it will go rite on. There is one big problem..... The new 2014 saddlebag lids might hit the tour pak because of the way they now open. I'm not positive but I thought I read that on here.

 

I have a friend put his tour pak from a 2013 SG on his 2014 SG with no issues.

 

I use a tour pac from a 09 SG. Tour pac has to be mounted back as far as it will go or the lids on the saddle bags will rub when you open them.
