Default Check engine light on, No Speedo or Tach

Took a short ride today and on the way home I notice that the turn signals were not shutting off after I made a turn. Then I notice that I had a check engine light on and the speedometer and tachometer were reading zero. The bike seemed to be running fine. I just had my radio replaced under warranty 2 days ago (30 miles) so the dealer was in the front fairing. I just the bike off and turned it back on in the garage and all seems normal. I haven't taken it for another ride yet though.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Loose wheel Lucile. Lol, a wire is loose or rubbing. Same happened to me when dealer R+R'd the tank.

My 2006 dyna does that once in a while. No idea why, but seems to run fine while happening.
If I turn the ignition off and then back on, all is fine again.

Last time this subject popped up in a thread, a couple of others said the same thing. I don't have any additional insight, but it seems to be an annoying intermittent glitch rather than an issue.

Does the bike have error codes?

Could be a bad speed sensor on the tranny, or perhaps just a loose connection to it.

I had the speed sensor on the tranny go out on my 2000 Road Glide, similar symptoms...

I had the same issue on my old RK, bad speed sensor. Didn't have a tach...so not sure if they work if the sensor goes.

I would take it back to the dealer and have them check for loose wire. Especially if it wasn't doing this before the new radio.
Sounds like bike is still under warranty.

Same happened to my bike, took me a few days to find the problem. One wire in the fairing rubbed on the fairing bracket and was grounding out.Removing fairing and check the wires closest or riding on bracket.

Rode for about 50 miles yesterday and everything was perfect. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on it. Thanks for all the input.
