Hotel

RE: Hotel
When we traveled last month, one motel had a motorcycle barn. It was lit, and chained shut after 11:00 and within view of the front desk. I use a disc brake lock with bright orange reminder cable, ignition lock, alarm with siren, and remove easily detachable items. All the motel managers I've encountered to date have been very hospitable and helpful.
If you are a member of HOG, you should also look at their travel benefits webpage. There are some good discounts available with your membership.

RE: Hotel
the better the place you stay the better off you are we also stay at a lot of B&B which are normally very cool about parking where its safest.. I always cover the bike (not a harley cover) remove all detachable stuff, set the alarm and sleep well. Most places will let you park in the front near the door if you ask. I recently stayed at the Hotel Roanoke in Roanoke Va and they we very cool by letting me park under their covered walkway next to the video camera and front door.

RE: Hotel
Scott, i lived in Fayetteville or 18 years im surprised the hotel was their when you got up in the morning let alone the bike. Fayetteville AKA Fayettenam is a tuff town. They will steal the radio in your car and leave the music playing. I have had 2 guns pulled on me living there.

RE: Hotel
I've traveled a good bit and find that the hotel/motel staff will go out of their way to take care of us. Parking by the door or first floor within sight of my bike. Even under the awning when rain was predicted. I lock the forks and front rotor and set the alarm. I use a T-bag so the bags are empty.
