The seat will put u back an inch and down an inch---from that, u have to make ur decision. Seats r so subjective. I prefer a stiffer, former seat over a soft. If u wanna mod it, go for it. I was looking for a totally diff look than stock seat. But I def was jammed too far forward and say on top or the bike with my stock seat. Now I'm riding in the bike.

To the op, you seat looks like you have the same issue as me. I mailed C&C and they never did get back to me but on yours, do you like the way the slot sticks out way past the acorn nut to hold it down? I have the seat crammed up against the tank as far as it can possibly go and it looks quite poor, (I'm picky).

Mine is like this too and the reason is....the passenger pillion has a male end that slides directly up under that slot near the acorn. I don't see any issues with it..even when riding solo, it looks fine to me. But that's truly the reason for it being "raised" ...for the passenger pillion to slide directly under it. I know we all have things that just bug us and understand ...this is not one of those for me because I have a passenger pillion that I like to use sometimes. I don't have a pic of the underside of the passenger pillion male end...but here is my setup...the passenger seat slides under that raised slot and then there are like 6 suction cups under the seat and the seat is secured by a screw behind it

hdbob, I truly can't remember the price---they have a pricelist on their site. It's been too long ago for me to recall and I ordered the backrest and passenger pillion all together

How tall are you, did you get the wide solo or reg 13.5, did you get it modded back at all, or wish you did. I'm ready to order one but trying to fig it all out.

U r making a huge mistake by buying based on others measurement. Having said that I'm 5'11...32 inch inseam. But I have 12 MBB bars which changed things too. I have regular size...didn't know u could mod it back. Im only 205lbs---couldn't imagine how much wider it could have been than the regular...unless I weighed a lot more. I'm 10000% happy with it as is. But doesn't mean u will be. I hope u do, tho!!! Just keep in mind--if want to go back and down, then this will do it for u. I'm not as tall as u so I can't know if it will be enuf for u.

own 2-of them since 06' best choice I could have made and the loyalty discount on second purchase was great.

Well that makes total sense. Thanks for the explanation, (and all of a sudden, that slot sticking out doesn't bug me as much either).

Hey sfcmo357, Yeah thats why I'm trying to get an idea, I live to far to go there and sit on a bunch of seats, and no one in my area Detroit/Windsor, has one that I know of. So this leaves me to post the question here. Now I wont be changing the bars as of right now. I have long arms so the bars would still be fine, wouldn't need a pull back or anything. I'm thinking the reg size one is good enough for me as well.
