Several service techs have mentioned that to me. It's also in the owner's manual, page 81.

I'm guessing there's all kinds of relevant information in the Owner's Manual

I'd bone up on that kind of stuff; maybe even take some rider training if I didn't want the sh*t scared out of me and not know why.

Just curious if OP took the Riders Edge Skilled Rider's course?

They teach you to stand bike up in curve before braking. Of course the I one time I had to do it, there was gravel on the road, and I had to hit the shoulder and ride it out there. High pucker factor.

Alan, where did you take the racer course?
