I am really leaning towards a custom fender..... at least!
I had an old Shovelhead fender in the garage that I spray painted black, and just for fun I installed it, and my stock 17 inch wheel. I immediately remembered why I went with a custom wheel. The stock wheels are as boring as the day is long.




So pretty much as fast as I could I put the 21 back on. I am still up in arms about what fender to buy, but its really looking like a custom front fender will make me the most happy. Even WITH the 21 wheel, I am starting to think the stock fender is pretty..... blah.

 

Looks like a poll of strangers doesn't really matter...

But I'm curious - is an Anniversary fender really different than any other touring fender, or is it just paint?

I got a huge rock chip in mine last week and that was all the excuse I needed to put a custom fender on so you can guess what my vote would be.

 

i voted full custom fenders and stretched bags. but it would look great with the anniv paint on the custom parts!

 

Remember that if you buy an ebay wrap around fender you are also going to need the spacer for between the fender and the lower legs which adds a bit of cost to it. On Harley custom colors lie that anniversary paint job I'd get it from Harley. A lot of their colors are very difficult to match, even with their paint.

That must have ben a pretty big pot hole.

 

I think its a good chance to customize. If you dopn't like get you a stock fender later.

 

Full custom all the way! There's no other choice...lol.

 

Yeah, looks like I am going custom. As mentioned by you guys, I will go stock colors. And thanks, I will buy the base coat direct from harley. I guess all I need to deciede is whether to get the rear fender and stretched bags as well. But that's the way the polls going...... as well as my mind.

 

Not anymore...Custom is my vote.
