Exclamation Please help!!!!! I'm broke down on the road

PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm out on a ride and i'm sitting at a hotel in Montrose, Co with the closest shop 70 miles away.

I'm on a 2008 ultra classic with the 96'' motor. *** My bike won't start!!!!!! ****

History
I'm 600 miles into my trip with absolutely no problems with my bike up to this point.
I pulled into my parking spot and used the kill switch on the handle bars, by my right thumb, to kill the engine. Almost right away i noticed i was to close to the vehicle next to me so i flipped the switch back to the run position and hit the starter. All this happened in about 1-2 seconds. When i hit the starter button the engine turned over about 1-2 times and then backfired into the carb. Since then i have not been able to get the bike to fire. It just turns over and doesn't even try to fire. This is what i have done so far.

1. I checked the diagnostic screen and found a trouble code
b1154 Clutch Switch Input Short to Ground
i have cleared this code and still nothing.

2. I pulled the spark plug from the rear cylinder and it has spark.

3. I checked fuses on the left side of the bike just below the seat and didn't find any that were blown.

Can anyone help with ideas of what it might be? I'm pretty good at following directions and i'm mechanically inclined. I could provide a cell number if you would like to speak with me.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP!!

If you were anywhere remotely close to me I would come and get you, but you're not. I wish I could be of some help, good luck.

If you have a tuner, pull it and go direct to the ECM. I had a tuner go bad on me and had a very similar experience.

Make sure the bike is in neutral , if the clutch switch has a short or is broke the bike will not start in gear even if you pull the clutch lever in.

There is no programmer on it. I cleared the clutch code. I tried firing it in N. with and without the clutch pulled. Found some people on this forum that were ridding their bike with that exact code active. That made me think that the code would not prevent the bike from running.

I have the factory security fob. The fob is syncing up because the alarm shuts off when i turn the ignition on. Also the fuel pump comes on and turns off after 2 seconds like it should. I have plenty of fuel in the tank and a good charge on my battery.

Is the fuel pump running? If not I would suspect the clutch input short to ground would be a guess and I mean guess. Also if you have a security system change the fob battery or clean it. I have seen weird things happen with weak fob batteries. Some say you can clean the battery and reinstall and help. That backfire through the throttle body would have me worried. Not a normal thing. You can pull both plugs and spin the engine and put something over the spark plug hole and see if have good suction and compression. If not you need to have a tow coming. All I can say is good luck. Let us know what you find.

Can you hear the fuel pump working?

It was already asked, I was late as usual.
