1. I checked the diagnostic screen and found a trouble code
b1154 Clutch Switch Input Short to Ground
i have cleared this code and still nothing.
After you cleared it and tried to start it did the code return?

Also, like mkguitar said push the bike to a differant location and try to start it. Radio frequency interference could be the problem, specifically from wireless security cameras so get away from buildings, etc.

I have no idea if this would work on your bike or not, but worth a try

"With the "OFF Run" handlebar switch in the "RUN" position, you then turn the ignition switch (keyed switch) on and off 4 times and the ECM resets."

or if it says its the "clutch switch input ground" you could try eliminating the clutch safety switch by wiring it into itself.

If you have tools you can take apart the switch housing to see if you have an issue w/ the kill switch.
Hope you find the problem.

If it's cranking but not starting I personally wouldn't suspect the alarm or a kill switch of some sort.

When the fuel filter housing broke on my 08 the fuel pump never stopped running when the switch was turned on.

Default No start

I am also on a trip and the same thing happened to me. Tried everything to no avail. Towed to a dealer in Evansville,In. He had it running in about 10 seconds once it was in the shop. It was the disconnect on the fuel tank. He popped it off and reattached it and it fired right up.

He told me that after awhile the ethanol in the gas starts to break down the internals in the valve. Bad part was the part is back ordered at most dealers in the country. They showed me how to disconnect it if happens again and sent me on my way. No charge

I went from Evansville,In to Tybee Island, Ga with no further problems. The dealer in Savanna shows the part in stock, so on my out of Savanna I am going to stop in and get it replaced.

I have been on Goldwings for quite awhile, but wanted to try an HD. 1st trip out and this happens. Momma asked me, "you wanted a Harley why". Put 70k on my 03 wing and never had a problem. But hey, **** happens and I do kinda like my ultra. Back on the road heading to Charlotte, NC tomorrow.
You guys take care and ride safe.

Fred

You can find out if its fuel by going to the auto parts store and buying a can of starting fluid. If the bike fires you know you have a fuel problem. Then try pulling the fuel line as several people have suggested.

It takes 2 seconds to disconnect the fuel line from the bottom of the tank.

quick easy first step to try.

My bike would start run for 30 seconds, then shut down. would not start for hours again, but would turnover. I unplugged and replugged the connection behind the throttle body, LEFT SIDE.Fired up and has run since. I now keep it Die-Electric Grease. It is easyer if you disassemble the air cleaner and its backing plate for access.

OK, you have compression and enough fuel pressure in the tank to turn the fuel pump off. The most likely culprit is the throttle body electrical connection.

Get some dielectric grease and put some on the contacts at the throttle body.

Good luck
