Default TTS/SE Tuner problems.

Any advice would be welcome. I have a 2011 103 Cu Inch Street Glide. I origionally put on some Vance and Hines slip ons and a SE airfilter. When I did this the bike was mapped with TTS mapping and the base map wasn't saved. I then put in some 255 cams and remapped with TTS. I have now put in a 120R crate motor. I bought a SE Pro Tuner but it wouldn't work because I couldn't take it back to the base OEM map. A clever friend has mapped it with TTS and got it pretty good. I was going to sell the SE Pro Tuner to a friend but it is now locked to my bikes VIN number. So I have effectively thrown away AU$525
I would still like to use the SE Pro Tuner and it's genuine 120R map particularly for eventual resale reasons. Can anybody advise me on how to get the ECM back to base? Would much appreciate it.

I'm not certain who makes the SE Pro Tuner but most tuners can be unlocked from the ECM for 100.00 to 200.00 U.S. by the manufacturer or an after market company. It's a racket to flip a bit.

As far as I know the SE tuner cannot be "unlocked". There are many Downloads available for the SE tuners. I don't know why ya would need the original stock map?? Any good dyno guy that works with SE tuners should be able to get it right???

TTS Mastertune is the original manufacturer of the SE tuner. They should be able to for a fee. I use the TTS Mastertune, excellent product.

SEPST for a 120R? TTS is way advanced over a SEPST for such a build. Just throw the SEPST in the trash because the folks that make it, will NOT unlock it. There is NO 2 bike thing with the SEPST.

TTS is the WAY better tuner for the 120r.

One more example of heeding that VERY CLEAR WARNING in the TTS notes......backup your STOCK ECM map before doing any TTS work. My understanding is, once you go TTS, you don't change unless you've got your stock ECM backup.

Actually, like I said in the other thread... after a nights sleep? I highly doubt that the SEPST is really married to the bike. A flash tuner ONLY marries if a bike has been flashed with a tune. With TTS in the bike already? There would be no way that bike got flashed... all what happened is it got hooked up, nothing else.

One needs to remember that ANY tuner, married to a different bike or not, can ALWAYS be used on different bikes to gather data. The 'marriage' only occurs when a flash has been completed.

Sell the SEPST.
