Do the software upgrade by downloading from HD site to a CD then put into your stereo. If it doesn't fix it, Iron Cross Audio is a great place to have your HK radio serviced

More than likely you have a cracked circuit board inside the radio. This is caused on older bikes by two of the handlebar clamp bolts hitting the bottom of the radio. Harley has since started installing different bar clamp bolts. Might want to give Iron Cross audio a call. They fixed mine and did some other stuff to it. Works like a champ now.

If the radio is electrically functioning but you have no sound through the speakers, or it is intermittent you may have the dreaded speaker circuit board breakage issue.

Iron Cross audio has the fix at a price cheaper than finding a second hand radio. Just suck it up and they will make it better than new.

Oops just saw the post from the Q-- they fixed mine as well...
