Default clutch cable stretch...

On my Dynas I don't remember this "problem" occurring. My Road Glide with only 2300 miles on the clock, went through the 1K inspection and the dealership adjusted the clutch pack and cable, after a thousand miles the shop said the cable seems a bit out of adjustment. Do the newer cables have a break in stretch they go through or is this just an anomaly. I plan on doing a full adjustment in the very near future. I've got my dynas clutch's dialed in real good, but they don't have this HD easy pull system. I'm I just a little **** on this or what?

It's not likely that the cable is stretching. I'd say clutch plate wear is the reason for the new slack in the cable. That or the 11/16ths lock nut has loosened and allowed the adjuster to back out.

Cable stretched on my 2011... to the point of the inability of taking the slack out of it, one thread left on the adjuster.

After adjusting the clutch myself a number of times, then since I thought I was missing something, had my buddy from an Indy shop adjust it, to the same result, I had to buy a new cable.

Yeah me too....like hell the cable doesn't stretch. My suggestion, adjust it at the 1k service then leave it alone for 7-8k that's what I did with my wifes FXDC and its just fine. You want to fuss over your bike more than it needs, take it for a ride then give it a good detailing.....that will get it out of your system

Did you ask the dealer to explain the issue? That's who you need to ask. Good Luck.
