Default Headlamp going out intermittenly

My headlamp doesn't stay on...bulb is good, fuse is good, I guess its the switch.

If I turn the brights on, when the lamp goes out, the bright light indicator goes out too.

Is the switch easy to replace?

Check your ground first, then look for a bad connection on the 12V side.

Could be the switch. But I'd be more inclined to suspect the wiring upstream of the switch.

Take the fairing off and look for rubbed or frayed wires, or loose wiring on the headlight connector.

Definitely check the connector on the back of the headlight first for a loose wire, then hit the connector with contact cleaner and coat with dielectric before reconnecting. A little corrosion on the contacts can cause a lot of problems. Then check your grounds for looseness or corrosion. There's usually a ground connection on the neck somewhere.

I had a frayed wire in the headlight bucket that caused my high beam to shut off and on intermittently. I only noticed it when I was changing to my LED headlight.
