Default Is my Road King Lowered?

Bought my Road King last year and been very happy with it so far. Someone once asked me if it's been lowered and said I didn't know and shrugged off the comment.

Today I was riding with another Road King and noticed the difference in height. So now I'm thinking it has been lowered. Has it?

Looks like at least an inch and a half or so to me.

Measure the length between the shock bolts. Someone might have put Street Glide shocks on it or a lowering bracket on the lower shock mount

So Scott, what will the stock measurement be?

Foxtrapper, if I knew what a cowbell was that link might help. What the hell is a cowbell? lol

Bike on the right, see the chrome portion of the forks starting right at the top of the front fender? That's the cow bell. It's a shroud that the fork slides up into. Notice the relation to the front fender.

Now look at the bike on the left. Little harder to see because the whole fork is chromed. But if you look closely, you can see how the cowbell looks lower in relation to the fender than the bike on the right. That's because the bike on the left has been lowered about an inch.

Looking at the signature pic (the others are way too small to tell anything) your front has been lowered an inch and the rear at least an inch, but probably closer to 1 1/2". A stock rear shock on your bike would be about 12 3/4" bolt center to center, a Profile Low shock would be 12". Any shorter than that and it has either had the shocks modified or they are different shocks.

Thanks everyone who helped.

Yep it's been lowered. 12" shocks in the back and measures 12.5 inches from the axle to the cowbell.

Since I am 6'1 I'm not sure I will keep it lowered and wouldn't mind a better ride. Now I get to do some shopping.

This is the second surprise since agreeing to purchase the bike from the dealer. The first was the baker DD6 that wasn't noticed until I had agreed on the purchase price.
