Default Replacing shocks on a 2001 CVO RG

Good day Gentlemen. Can anybody enlighten me on what length the factory shocks are on my bike. It's a 2001 CVO RG. I am not home and it will be at the end of June before I am home.
I am wanting to replace the current factory air shocks with a shorter length Shock in an attempt to lower the rear end an inch or two. I have a copy of the manual and looking through it, it does not tell me what length the current shock is. I figure replacing the current shock with a shorter shock would give me the desired effect I’m looking for.

Any suggestions and advice welcome

the current length is approx 13.5. Street glide shocks are 12.5

you can probably achieve a better stance by purchasing something different than street glide shocks.

if you want an air ride, check out arnott. if you want a real shock, check our JRI or Olins. Motorcycle Metal is a forum sponsor and sells these shocks.

Invest once, not multiple times.

Ok, Thanks for the reply, I would like to keep the current air system on it, but just a shorter stock. I was thinking around 11 inch shocks.. Do they make anything like or would I have to scrape the entire system that is on it?

if you want 11's i would call bitch'n baggers, they do some type of shock mod on you stock shocks, that gets them down to 11

If you putting on shorter shocks make sure you have your chiropractors # handy when you get back from your ride you'll probably need it. Just saying.
