Put your stock mufflers back on, noticeably louder with cat gone.

That's why I would buy an aftermarket head pipe and not gut the stock one. Hope you find a cheap OEM one in good shape if you are looking to go back.

Agree with Justme, I used v&h header and stock mufflers on my '10 RK and love the sound. Worth a try if you still have the stockers.
