Thought it was pinging, turns out it was valve train noise
My 13 FLTRU is at Fuel Moto for a 107, He's tuning it right now.
I stopped by this afternoon to see how it was coming.
He showed me my pistons - no evidence of pinging problems. Interesting because I thought it was pinging like a b1tch.
He said what I was hearing was valve train noise. It was driving me *crazy*, such clatter!
He also said if you took the hood off your car and drove it while sitting on top of the open engine, there's all kinds of crazy **** you'd hear.
Good enough point, I guess.
He's putting in better valve springs, I hope that quiets it down...
