Thinking about getting a new seat, possibly the Sundowner touring seat ot the Comfort Stich seat, both HD seats. Looked at the Mustang seat, but they are not leather seats, so they are out. Any feed back on the Sundowner or Comfort Stich seat?

 

Comfort stitch seat is standard on my ULTRA and it is not the greatest seat. I am going to be looking at the mustang for my next seat. Harley seats are not known for their comfort....they just look good.

Thanks, so much for that seat. Like the Mustang seat, but really wanted leather, not a synthetic material.

I have the Sundowner Solo seat. As far as comfort, no complaints. The only thing is that you sit on it instead of in it if that makes sense to you. Moves you forward more. I think if I were to do it again I would look at getting a Mustang seat.

 

I ride an 01 RK Classic and have put 30K miles on it as of this weekend. I was stupid enough to take off on a 5500 mile ride on the stock seat. After the first 1,000 miles, I was in agony. I bought an AirHawk cushion in Sturgis, and it helped, but I didn't like the way it jacked me up. So when we got to Farmington NM, I bought a Sundowner and had them put it on. Definitely a big improvement over the stock seat. That being said, if I were buying a new seat today, I'd look at the Tallboy seat. The extra 2.5" of width might be a good thing (because I'm tall and wide).

The most comfortable seat I ever had was a Mustang that I put on my Wide Glide (I still have it if anyone is interested). The best thing about the Mustang folks is that they let me try out a couple of seats before deciding on one. As long as I was careful to not mark it, they were happy to take it back and let me try another. I've never run into a Harley dealer that would let you put a 100 miles on a seat before buying it.

 

I have the Sundowner 2-up seat on mine and find it really comfortable.

I've got the Sundowner on my RKC and really like it. I had a Mustang on my last bike and liked it as well. For the price difference, I'd pick the Sundowner.

I have the comfort stitch seat that is stock on my 05 FLHTI - --I love it...it's soft, and better yet, comfortable for the long haul as advertised....
