my last bike 03 RK i put the sundowner seat on i loved it and my wife loved it as well, so on my 04 SE EG, i did the same thing, sundowner under my butt the last 2 1/2 years works great and looks great. good luck with your decision. BTW wife and i did a 1500 mile trip this summer felt no pain...

 

I have the 2 up Sundowner on my Fatboy and love it.....
Of course the SE only comes with a piece of leather stretched over a seat pan so anything beyond that is heaven...

 

just traded in my '99RKC with 68k miles on it for EG STD due 1q '06. almost all of those miles on a mustang solo wide seat. absolutely great seat. i hope it fits the EG std (think it will).

was a bit hung up on leather too as i had a corbin connolly leather solo on my old '96 lowrider. this seat was hard as a rock and not real comfortable. and doesn't really look any better than the vinyl mustang as the mustang is a quality product. glad i got over the leather thing and would definitely buy another mustang.

someone correct me if wrong but isn't the rkc stock seat vinyl with leather trim only in the tooled part?

 

I'm retired also and live in Sterling, VA. ride a 2000 R.K.Classic. Where are you located in The DC area?

One of the items I ordered when I picked up the bike at the dealer was the Sundowner Solo seat. It's been on the bike ever since and I love it. I have since install the RKC TourPak on a solo rack so now I have some upper back support too.

i do believe that is correct big boots, but the sundowner is a full leather seat...
