Well, I dropped it…

My Road King has been down twice now .Once inside the garage when I was moving it and didn't realize I had drug the Jiffy stand out of position. Down she goes.Strained my milk rolling it back up that time. No room at all between it and another bike.
Then yesterday I moved all my bikes outside the garage to give the floor a good cleaning.Got done and fired up the Road King to pull back in and nudged the damned garden hose with the rear tire. Over she goes again. Rubber on rubber doesn't give worth a damn. This time I held it for a bit but realizing how much it weighs now I kind of eased it down. The stand them back up videos you see do work. Just saying it happens and if she's not all skinned up its a plus but face it you can't hold these things up after a certain point.

as others have said, welcome to the club. i dropped mine at a gas station maybe a week after i got it and couldn't pick it up by myself after trying to hold it. luckily another biker was in his truck and saw me drop it and came over to help get it back up. at 62, these damn things are heavy. glad you're ok and only a little "personality" was added to the bike. the bars really do work to save the bags....i'll never be without them.

Welcome to the club!
The first thing I did when I bought my Heritage Springer was to install engine and bag guards because I knew at some point it was going to go over....I was right. I haven't dropped my Ultra yet but have come close a couple of times. Not sure if I can lift this beast if (when) it does happen. I try to be real aware of the road and parking lot conditions, it only takes a little gravel to have your foot slip out from under you and over it goes.
