This is what I do also. I had a guy correct me once when I got on the High side of the bike. I told him the proper method of getting on a bike put you on the riders seat. How you get there is up to you.

depends on which side I walk up to the bike on. LOL! I'm not gonna walk all the way around it to get on a seat that is right there.

Depends how the parking situation is but, I generally use the left side to get on. As for getting off, I prefer to get off on the low side while pushing forward on the kick stand, oops, 'jiffy stand'.
I have seen the videos of the proper mount and dismount and it does show the right side.
I guess, after seeing this post, the right side wins.
OP, as others have said, it is really up to you and your comfort zone.

Right side.... because I have 3 fused vertebrae in my lower back, and I slide my leg through...... so the high side is easier.

And besides............

RIGHT is just another word for CORRECT.

99% from the kickstand side, unless someone parkes close to that side then I will get on the other side.

Low side. I've had both knees replaced and it's just to difficult to get on the bike from the high side.

I always throw my left leg over the saddle when mounting. I learned fairly early on that I ended up facing forward when mounting from the high side.
