I really need a road trip, but not doing any this year. Would love to hear about the road trips you have planned in 2014 so I can be jealous.

Central NC to Laconia NH bike week for 4 days then down to Gettysburg PA for 4 days riding on my bike solo. Thats next month. July me and the wife will be up in Northern NH/VT and Maine. Haven't worked out the rest of the year yet but I know it will involve the BRP and maybe down to the Keys?

The last week in June, Tail of the Dragon. Blue Ridge Mountains. Leave Miami (fastest route just to get there) for 11 day ride. Returning to Miami hugging the coast as much as possible. No concrete plans/reservations or rush once I arrive, just bump and go till I get home. Nice and easy!

I'm retired and single so I can go anywhere at anytime. For the past three years I've been taking a month or two and biked all over North America on my own. I find riding solo is the very best arrangement for me. This July I plan to ride to Chicago and then take old route 66 to LA. From there I will head up the west coast and visit my son in Oregon. I'm still not sure about my return route but it will involve some time in Washington, British Columbia and then I'll probably drop down into Montana and take the northern states as I head home.
This will be about 8000 miles over a four to five week period. I pull a Aspen Classic camper trailer so it's both affordable and requires no reservations.

Next month CT to OH to visit my son. Going to take PA 6 (Grand Army of the Republic Hwy) out there and swing south on 2-lanes thru WV and MD on the way back. Three days out and four back by myself.

I hope the rain that hits "Rainconia" every year doesn't hit me the week before.

Next week headed to Iowa & Wisconsin for the weekend. Next month doing 10 days in Louisiana and Arkansas. July should be New England, and August will be Indiana. Maybe Florida in September.
