String and a vacuum cleaner with a 1" attachment. Sucks the string right through. Attach to the wires and gently pull them through. Easiest way I have found.

The best thing I've ever found to pull wires through handlebars or any other kind of conduit enclosure is speedometer chain. It's flexible yet stiff enough to be pushed through whatever you are threading wires through easily. I've been using it for this purpose over 40 years.

Yep,

I used a ceiling fan pull chain that I bought at Lowes for $2. Heavy and flexible enough to fall right through the bars and strong enough to be able to tug on it pretty good....

The last time I did this I used a 24" Wire Tie.
It was plenty stiff but easily bendable. Worked great.

Tie a small nut to the end of fishing line or string and then no suck or blow is required.

Either one HAS to be better than using a coat hanger...unless the person is into that kinda thing.

I messed around with mechanics wire for about 20 mins , then tried twine with a small ball of tape on the end. Hooked up shop vac to the end of bars and pulled it thru in seconds.
